The brief
Pinterest's EMEA HQ commissioned Bimco to scan two floors of their existing fit-out ahead of a major refurbishment. We deployed a Leica RTC360 scanner across 84 set-up positions over five evenings, capturing every wall, soffit, riser and exposed service.
How we delivered it
The registered point cloud — 12.4 million points at 5mm accuracy — was processed in Cyclone Register 360 and delivered as both an .e57 file and a Revit-ready as-built model with structural grid, MEP risers and exposed steel.
The outcome
The design team used the model directly in Revit, cutting their measured-survey budget by 60% and shaving four weeks off the design programme.
Working on reality capture projects
Reality capture projects live or die on the completeness of the site visit. Ceiling voids, risers and plant areas are the spaces most likely to be skipped and the most expensive to return for, so capture planning matters more than scanning speed.
